Our doormats are made of coconut fibre (coir) and that are bound with a natural latex for added strength. There are no nasty plastics or PVC backings and are 100% biodegradable as we want to help make the environment last as long as poss, and this means YOU'RE making the environment last longer too. YAY! We have sourced what we think are the best quality mats in town from ethical sources, that are sturdy, look fab and have minimal shedding.
This is my second DBYD. I bought the previous one 4 years ago and it is still in reasonable condition, but I couldn't resist getting a new one. We now have one at both the front and back doors. I love them!
I love it, but my fly screen door gets stuck on it, so I can’t use it! I’m hoping if I step on the mat lots of times over the next few months, it will flatten enough to allow the fly screen door to open over it.
LOVE IT!! I've bought three of these, now, and this latest one arrived overnight - in time for our first Open Home. It looks so smart! Definitely won't be including it as a chattel, though. It's coming with us!
I would have liked one with My Happy Place (as opposed to Our Happy Place) for my single daughter for Christmas. Perhaps that's something you might consider in the future. She doesn't drink or have empathy for Maori language phrases so I settled for Yay it's You.
